A trapper returning to Chitek Lake at dawn on April 4, 1993, said that he saw two people who could have been Mary and Kevin walking in the distance along the railway track. Do you think this was probably them or is it a red herring?

I think it is highly unlikely a young boy and an Elder would be walking down the railway track at that time of morning. What reason would they have to be on the tracks?

If Kevin and Mary were trying to get away from someone they might have gone any where. Maybe the people on the railway track were the people who attacked Kevin and Mary.
