Turtleford Great Chapter Meets to Address Stewardship

By Christopher Snook.  A capacity crowd attended this year's Turtleford Deanery Great Chapter meeting in Glasyln on Saturday, September 23. They gathered to reflect on Stewardship, a critical issue for parishes throughout our Diocese.

The day's leaders, Mr. Laurent Fournier and Father Herve Vallee, brought the topic alive by reminding the gathering of the precious and sacred work of the Gospel: sharing the good news of Christ throughout the world, and baptizing in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Stewardship, they taught, is how we live this Mission through the spiritual and material gifts that God gives us.

Presentations on social justice, on enlivening our parishes, and on strategies for this year's commitment Sunday, were a tremendous blessing. Hearts and minds were stirred by the day's discussions. May the seed planted bring forth good fruit!
