Friendship Evangelism Course at St. David's Prince Albert

Guy-Bellerby-3.jpgSt. David’s Church Prince Albert is offering a Lenten Course in ‘Friendship Evangelism.’

'Just Walk Across the Room' is 4-week DVD study programme led by Bill Hybels.

It teaches ‘Christ-followers’ (Hybels’ description of Christians) how to walk out of our circles of comfort and across rooms to:

  • Build God's kingdom by building relationships
  • Share personal faith stories in a compelling, non-threatening way.
  • Connect so intimately to Christ that they respond when his Spirit nudges.
  • Embrace God's grander, soul-fulfilling vision for their lives.

The course is a natural progression from our follow-up to the Diocesan Conference we attended last fall. The members of the parish heard Rev’d Kevin Martin speak about evangelism as a natural result of living as a Christian in the world.  Bishop Burton challenged us all this year to be much more intentional in our Christian life together – 2007 as “A Year of Repentance and Commitment” is how he phrased it in his address to the conference delegates. Lent seems the perfect time to gather, pray and learn how we can move ahead in this ministry.

The Course is free of charge, and you are welcome to join the remaining 3 sessions, on Monday evenings in March – 12, 19 & 26 – at 7 p.m.  Twenty people have registered so far.

For further information, contact the Rev. Guy Bellerby at (306) 764-1310.
