Rector – The Parish of Tisdale

The Parish of Tisdale seeks an energetic, youthful minded, traditional priest who values lay ministry, works well with children and will attract new families. We are looking for someone to work with us who is committed to Biblical principles, has a good sense of Christian stewardship, is a strong leader, a good communicator and works well with volunteers within the Church. Saint Matthew’s needs a pastor with a strong sense of Family Values and Community.

Saint Matthew’s, Tisdale is a single point parish with 135 households on the Parish list. There is one main Sunday morning service at 10:30 a.m., usually Holy Communion. The Book of Common Prayer is the generally preferred liturgy of this congregation. The Church has an active Sunday School and a choir with two organists. The congregation expects and enjoys Bible Study and other programmes of Christian education and has an active prayer group.

Saint Matthew’s Rectory is located beside the Church. It is a well maintained 1 ½ storey home with 3 bedrooms, full bath upstairs, ½ bath on the main level and a finished basement.

Tisdale is a prosperous farming and industrial community with a population of more than three thousand people. The town is located two hours from Saskatoon and a one and a half hour drive from Prince Albert. There are two Schools, a Community College and several recreational venues within the community. The people of Saint Matthew’s, Tisdale look forward to welcoming, worshipping and working with the new priest God is calling to their Parish.
