Address to General Synod by Archbishop of York Dr. John Sentamu

I have come to believe that when I shall come face to face with the Wounded Healer who bears the marks of love, he will ask me, "Sentamu, where are your tears for me to wipe away? Where are your wounds of love received through loving and laying down your life for me and my brothers and sisters?"

Thank you John! Yes Christ showed Gracious magnanimity, but let's be clear about this, Jesus did not bless the woman's adultery; He told her to "go and sin no more,"(John 8:11).

Yes, we can offer gracious magnanimity but we cannot tell people to continue to sin and bless it in the name of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
